We encourage students to register for classes with their peers. If the options available are not interesting to them, then we would suggest a teen helper option where they can earn volunteer hours. We also understand that sometimes students need a little extra time to get their work done, so we do make this time available for them. However, we have rules in place to make sure that study hall is being used the way it is intended.
- Students need to check in with a board member that period and they will be assigned a designated area to study alone.
- Students need to bring a book to read or homework to complete.
- Screens, including phones and laptops, are not permitted in Study Hall. If a laptop is needed for their work, board approval is required.
