1st Period: Advanced Taekwondo (3-12th grade)

Students must be at least an orange belt to take the advanced class. Class fee includes a colored belt that will be presented to each student at Parents' Night plus their boards. Blue gis are available for purchase at orientation for an additional $25-30.
1st Period: Cheer- Part 2 (1-12th grade)

FREE for fall students unless you need to replace a t-shirt, poms, or megaphone. Contact Jennifer for prices on individual items.
Students will learn cheers, chants, jumps, the fight song, a cheer routine, and some basic stunt skills.
Class fee will purchase each student a cheer shirt, poms, and megaphone. Students will need to provide black shorts.
1st Period: Chess (6-12th grade)
with Gwendy Hardcastle
We will learn how to play the game of chess and have weekly chess matches.
Students should bring a chess set if they have one.
1st Period: Famous Artists (4-8th grade)

This semester we will learn about famous artists and their techniques. We will also be making our own works of art based loosely on the techniques of the artists we are learning about. "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up." Pablo Picasso
1st Period: Nature Study (1-8th grade)

We will explore our natural world through weekly themed topics that will also correspond with a poem for the week as well as a piece of artwork from various artists. The topics included are as follows:
- Nesting Birds
- Spring Pond Study
- Vernal Equinox
- Garden Snails
- Spring Tree Study
- Plant Life Cycle
- Wild Flowers
- Grasses & Caterpillars
1st Period: Softball (5-12th grade)
with Michelle Edwards
We will practice basic throwing, catching, hitting, and base running fundamentals.
Students will need to bring a glove and helmet if they have one.
1st Period: Study Hall (1-12th grade)
Students need to bring a book to read or homework to complete. iPods, video games, music players, etc. are not permitted in Study Hall. Laptops are only permitted to complete homework.
1st Period: Teen Helper (7-12th grade)

Does your teen need volunteer hours? Do they love working with little ones? Do they not see a class they want to take one period? We can use their help! If they have a preference, please note on the next page which class they would like to help in.
