3rd Period: Let's Explore Art (2nd-4th grade)

In this class we will explore watercolor painting, crayon drawing, and chalkboard drawing.
3rd Period: Name that Note!: Part II (3-6th grade)

This is a fun class about learning to read piano notes. Each lesson will begin with a musical notes game or a fun worksheet. The second half of the class time will be a time for the students to practice on the individual keyboards.
3rd Period: P.E. (1st-3rd grade)

Class will focus on movement and exercises to keep kids moving with variety of activities, games, individual and group challenges. I highly encourage students to bring their own water.
4th Period: Nature Study/Walk (1st-3rd grade)

Each week we will go on a nature walk to observe a different topic, we will then return to the classroom to look up, learn about and journal our findings. This will be a rain or shine class, so I will provide each kid a trash bag rain poncho on days it is raining.
4th Period: Puppets & Phonics (1st-3rd grade)

We will be focusing on phonics and confidence in reading. We will make puppets to use in read alouds and play.
4th Period: Snacks & Social Studies (1st-3rd grade)

In this class we will be studying the cultures and customs of people in various countries around the globe, all while getting to experience a snack from that part of the world!
4th Period: Spring Gardening (1st-3rd grade)

Topics we will learn about this semester include unusual vegetables and fruit, composting and herbs. We will plant squash and herbs, we will make a compost and have tastings.
Let us know if students have allergies to plants or vegetables. Students will need to take care of the plant they have planted.
