3rd Period: Study Hall (8-12th grade)
with Gwendy Hardcastle
PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTERING:
There is no instuctor for this class.
Exceptions made for younger students if parent is staying with them.
Please limit one per semester.
We encourage students to register for classes with their peers. If the options available are not interesting to them, then we would suggest a teen helper option where they can earn volunteer hours. We also understand that sometimes students need a little extra time to get their work done, so we do make this time available for them. However, we have rules in place to make sure that study hall is being used the way it is intended.
- Students need to check in with a board member that period and they will be assigned a designated area to study alone.
- Students need to bring a book to read or homework to complete.
- Screens, including phones and laptops, are not permitted in Study Hall. If a laptop is needed for their work, board approval is required.
3rd Period: Study through Asia! (4-6th grade)

$5 -- make checks payable to Samantha Eaton
We would be going through the different countries of Asia, learning briefly about their histories and cultures, while also having fun! We would be using the Asia study unit from Gather Round Homeschool. I think it would be a super fun opportunity to explore another country.
3rd Period: Teen Helper (8-12th grade)

FREE -- Please limit to one class period per teen helper
Does your teen need volunteer hours? Do they love working with little ones? Do they not see a class they want to take one period? We can use their help! If they have a preference, please note on the next page which class they would like to help in.
3rd Period: Through the Eyes of Missionaries (7-12th grade)
with Michelle Kachuriak
FREE -- contact Michelle w/ questions
Co-teacher: Chris Kachuriak
Learn what it’s like to be a full time missionary, by missionaries traveling to foreign countries, learning their culture, customs & religions. Explore how each religion views concepts such as God, creation, salvation, and morality. We will discuss how Christian principles and values contrast with or relate to those in other faiths. Strengthen your own understanding of Christianity while developing respect and empathy for people of other faith backgrounds. Depending on time zones we will be interviewing our International partners across the globe.
